Thank you for considering Made in the Shade—Hilton Head for your window treatment needs. We are a father-son team based in the Hilton Head/Savannah area. My name is Rod Badakhsh, pronounced Ba-dash. I moved to Georgia when my beautiful and talented wife, Dr. Diane Badakhsh, became the Director of Continuing Education at Georgia Southern University. My two children, Sadri and Gabrielle, are now students at Georgia Southern, and Sadri helps with the business.

I spent 24+ years as the Tennis Director at Echo Farms Country Club in Wilmington, North Carolina. During that time, I was named the Tennis Pro of the Year three times by the Greater Wilmington Tennis Association and once by the North Carolina Tennis Association. Although I thoroughly enjoy teaching tennis, I want to bring my enthusiasm and drive for excellence to the window treatment industry. I decided to buy a Made in the Shade franchise because of their commitment to quality products and service and their faith-based approach to business.
